Every detail considered, every system optimised.

Intelligent MEP engineering for high-performance, low-carbon buildings. We start early, model everything, and stay involved until the building works the way it was designed to.

MEP Engineering

MEP systems are the backbone of a modern building and a large share of its energy use. We design them to balance performance, energy efficiency and comfort on schemes of every scale, including projects with construction values over £100 million. Our strategies are cost-effective, compliant, and tailored to each client’s needs.

  • Heating, cooling & ventilation
  • Power, lighting & LV distribution
  • Water, drainage & sprinklers
  • Site infrastructure services

Energy & Sustainability

We work with architects early to refine passive design and cut energy demand before any active system goes in. We use Dynamic Simulation Modelling alongside NCM and SAP to optimise the fabric, glazing, ventilation and shading. We run SAP and SBEM calculations in-house and update them as the design evolves. Our knowledge of local Planning and Building Control helps approvals go smoothly.

  • In-house SAP & SBEM
  • Planning energy statements
  • Low & zero carbon technologies

BIM

BIM is a core part of every project we take on. Working to the latest BIM standards keeps coordination tight and collaboration open, and helps manage resources. It makes delivery more transparent and predictable, for the design team and for the finished building.

  • Federated 3D coordination
  • Clash detection
  • Open collaboration with the design team
  • Data-rich models for handover

Value Engineering

With decades of MEP consultancy experience, we’re strong on cost control and value engineering. Careful analysis and collaboration with the design team let us find savings and propose better solutions without lowering quality. Our track record shows we can deliver efficient, cost-effective MEP that still meets the brief.

  • Capital cost review & analysis
  • Life-cycle cost review
  • MEP procurement
  • Cost control workshops

Thermal Comfort

We run TM52, TM59 and Approved Document Part O assessments early, so overheating risks are found before they turn into costly design changes. Dynamic Simulation Modelling lets us optimise shading, glazing, natural ventilation and thermal mass to cut the need for mechanical cooling. That means less plant and lower capital cost, and occupants stay comfortable for the long term.

  • Overheating risk assessment
  • Natural ventilation strategies
  • Shading & glazing optimisation
  • Avoiding unnecessary cooling plant

Fire Safety

We design fire safety systems to meet regulations and each project’s fire strategy. Fire detection, alarms, smoke control and suppression are coordinated within the wider MEP design. Working closely with the design team keeps them practical and compliant, without hurting efficiency or cost.

  • Fire detection & alarm
  • AOV & smoke control
  • Sprinkler & suppression systems
  • Coordination with fire engineers

Vertical Transport

Specialist manufacturers design the lifts. We work with them to make sure the lifts fit the wider MEP strategy, covering space planning, power, fire safety integration and building regulations, so they run efficiently and reliably for the life of the building.

  • Spatial planning
  • Power & controls
  • Fire-fighting lift integration
  • Regulatory compliance

How we work

01

Early

We get involved at concept stage, when passive design choices cost nothing and save the most.

02

Modelled

Dynamic simulation, SAP and SBEM run in-house, so we can test options quickly as the design changes.

03

Coordinated

BIM as a working tool, not a buzzword. Services fit the structure the first time.

04

Buildable

Our MD started out as an electrician. Designs are checked against how they’ll actually be installed.
